Focus on "Arte al Centro" 6# - A Palace that is a Square

Art and Society

Seven centuries have passed since Ambrogio Lorenzetti, with his famous cycle of Sienese frescoes, questioned the “effects of good and bad government” in the city and in the countryside.
Now, in 2025, after about thirty years working on art and culture as elements of transformation of society, Cittadellarte opens a new space in Biella, dedicated to the community, where to continue to imagine and propel change. The Palace of Good Government will be the home of Biella Città Arcipelago: a place to feed thoughts and encourage experiments and experiences on culture and the tools that allow local organisations and institutions to collaborate in order to contribute to the sustainable development of the region.
The complexity of everyday challenges increasingly requires everyone to collaborate by pooling resources and skills. More and more opportunities and tools are emerging that go in this direction, starting with cutting-edge laws and regulations.
The 2025 Venice Architecture Biennale
, titled Intelligens. Natural. Artificial. Collective., showcases many experiences and ideas to transform buildings, spaces and organisations, in search of solutions to the social and environmental challenge of present and future. The exhibition opens with “the perspective of the Third Paradise”. With the same perspective, the Palace of Good Government inaugurates: a common for the Biella area, both a material and immaterial good dedicated to imagining and building the future together.
