Let Eat Bi

Cittadellarte's research in the agri-food supply chain and the solidarity economy is governed by the project Let Eat Bi – The Third Paradise in the Biella Region. Let Eat Bi was founded in 2012 out of the need to create, starting from art, concrete projects in Biella aimed at responsible change in the agricultural and food sectors.

Let Eat Bi was launched alongside a dense network of partners including associations, cooperatives, and local communities, combining cultivation, culture, and conviviality.

Since 2015, it has offered Cittadellarte a weekly market featuring seasonal fruits and vegetables, rice, honey, bread, eggs, cheese, pasta, and legumes. The specialties provided by the partner farms are all local, natural, and seasonal.

Let Eat Bi also created the Terre AbbanDonate platform to facilitate connections between landowners and those who would like to cultivate them. From Terre AbbanDonate, several urban gardens called "Orti del Biellese" have been created, some of which are cultivated using permaculture, promoting social inclusion, encouraging volunteer work, and fostering active community participation around the gardens. For many years, the Nutrimento Office has also led the "Accademia Verde" program: meetings, conferences, visits to farms, and workshops organized with the goal of stimulating the exchange of Biella’s agricultural and nutritional knowledge. Since 2022, Let Eat Bi has been collaborating in the dissemination of Biochar through Bi-Biochar srl for soil regeneration, addressing ongoing climate change and soil desertification.
